CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL General Conditions
Reservations
Individual guests can make reservations online, by telephone, by mail or by fax. For online reservations, a 30% deposit is required payable by credit card through PayPal; you will be charged the remainder of your balance upon checkout, at the conclusion of your stay; cancellation penalties will be charged to the credit card given at the time of booking. Data submitted online is legally binding.
Payment
All hotel services are to be paid in cash or by credit card or debit card (Visa or MasterCard) upon departure. Any additional costs are the responsibility of the guest.
Advance Payments
For all reservations, a sum equal to 30% of the total price of your stay must be paid immediately into our checking account or through other acceptable means as indicated by our staff. This deposit must be made at the time of your online reservation or within 7 days of receiving confirmation of your booking. In the case of last minute bookings, the deposit must be received at least 3 days before guest arrival. Any transfer fees are the responsibility of the guest.
Reservation Cancellations
The policy for cancellation by individual guests is based according to law. Online reservations can be cancelled in writing within 24 hours of booking.
Parties must communicate the total number of guests to CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL at least 10 days before arrival. Party numbers can be reduced, without added charge, by a maximum of 10% of the total number of guests in the original reservation if notice is given at least one week in advance of the reservation date. In all other cases, the following cancellation fees apply: in case of cancellation less than 3 months in advance of the reservation date, a fee of 25% of the total price will be charged; in case of cancellation less than one month in advance of the reservation date, a fee of 50% of the total price will be charged; in case of cancellation within 7 days of the reservation date, a fee of 90% of the total price will be charged in addition to 50% of the price of meals. Notification of cancellations made with valid cause on the part of CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL must be given in writing, at least two weeks before the reservation date. In case of last-minute cancellation or non-arrival on the part of the guest, the entire cost of the reservation will be charged, minus applicable charges for services not performed (10-20% for cleaning, dining, etc.) or the amount obtained from other persons for the rental of the room for which the reservation was cancelled.
Hotel Rules
Our hotel rules form part of the General Conditions. In case of failure to respect the rules, CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL reserves the right to immediately terminate the lodging agreement. In such circumstances, the above stated cancellation fees will be applied in addition to the cost of any services not received.
Legal Liability / Security
Anyone causing damage to the building or inventory will be held legally responsible according to the law (this applies in particular to tour groups and organizers). Theft and destruction of property will be denounced immediately. Upon guest departure, all rooms will be inspected by hotel staff. Repair costs for any damages incurred or for lost keys will be charged to the room and must be paid upon departure. CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL reserves the right to request from individual guests, particularly those traveling as part of a tour group, a security deposit of €50.00 per person. This is to be paid in cash immediately upon request. The security deposit will be returned upon departure, less the cost of any damages incurred. CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL is responsible for damages or injuries to guests only if caused by gross negligence on the part of the hotel. CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL is not responsible for luggage left on the premises or for vehicles or bicycles parked on the property of CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL.
Norme finali
The invalidity of any part of these conditions does not render invalid in any way the other parts.

Further Details:
Evening Quiet Hours
After 10pm all rooms should reduce their noise level. We ask that quiet also be kept in the hallways and stairways.
No Smoking
There is no smoking allowed in the rooms or common areas.
Damages, dirtiness, lost keys
In case of damage to or dirtying of the building or inventory or loss of keys, the cost of the damages will be paid for by the person who is responsible for said damages. These types of payments will be made immediately and in cash (in case of tour groups, the group leader will pay the sum). Theft or destruction of property will be denounced immediately.
Access to the emergency staircases is allowed only in case of fire.
In case of violation of one or more of the above stated rules, the CEFALU’ SEA PALACE HOTEL reserves the right to terminate the contract of lodging immediately. In this event, the guest will remain responsible for payment of the room for the full duration of the reservation.
We advise all guests that we cannot be held responsible for luggage and valuables.
Fire Exits/Security Exits
If, in the event of a fire, the stairways are out of service, use the emergency stairways indicated on the affixed signs. If these stairways are inaccessible, remain in your room (with the door unlocked) and make yourself visible at an open window.
